This regular tea gathering is an opportunity for us to listen to the views
of a diverse range of staff from different departments and ranks. In the
process we are able to build strong, effective communication channels between
management and frontline staff.

Employee Happiness Index (Employee Satisfaction) Survey

Twice a year, we carry out our Employee Happiness Index questionnaire to learn how satisfied our employees are with Fairwood and what their expectations are.  Comments made in the survey are all discussed at senior management meetings, and positive suggestions implemented.

We keep our staff in touch with everything that's happening at Fairwood via multiple channels, including staff meetings, a "Big Bang" event, regular publications such as "Happy Voice", "Fairwood Memo", and "Happy News" (a video programme), and a series of "Happy Management Tips".

For highly effective communication with our employees, we use intranet,
email and instant messaging to get real-time information to them fast.

Each month, our CEO visits different branches in person and&nbsp;and talks directly with the frontline staff there to get a clear sense
of how they feel about their work conditions and any challenges they are
facing. 

Fairwood Education Fund and Fairwood Summer Job Scholarship 

Fairwood employees have access to the Fairwood Education Fund, set up in
2011 to provide annual study sponsorships for selected staff whose children
perform outstandingly at school. Fairwood's Summer Job Scholarship, set up in
2014 and awarded annually, rewards students working at Fairwood over the summer
who deliver an outstanding work performance.

Employees experiencing financial difficulties in exceptional circumstances can gain support from the Fairwood Caring Fund.   

Special days in the lives of our employees are always recognised and celebrated. We hand out gifts and cash coupons on special occasions such as weddings, the arrival of a new baby, and birthdays. We also offer pensions to our staff.

In a typical year, staff members have the chance to get involved in singing contests, barbecues, movie days, Ocean Park &amp; Disneyland visits, day tours to various destinations, and birthday party celebrations. Every year we also organise a "Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony" to show our appreciation for our longest-serving employees. Another annual event is the annual Education Fund Award Presentation Ceremony, held to celebrate an award-winning employee and his or her child's outstanding academic performance.

At Fairwood, we like to celebrate festive occasions whenever possible! Some highlights of the year include Fairwood's Anniversary Ceremony, branch birthday parties, New Year and Lunar New Year parties, and festive gifts such as New Year's rice cakes and rice dumplings.

From time to time we distribute good things to staff, such as gift packs, fresh fruit baskets,  drinks and daily necessities, along with special shopping discounts.

We regularly hand out coupons to our employees so they can try out new
Fairwood products and share them with family and friends.
